The CWNA (CWNP Certified Wireless Network Administrator) certification exam is a fundamental enterprise wireless network certification that validates basic skills and knowledge related to wireless networks. Currently, it can only be earned by passing one exam, PW0-105, which has replaced the previous 104 version with new and updated information. To begin down this career path, CWNP requires that all participants take this exam to continue on to higher level professional certifications.
Surveying, installing and administering Wi-Fi networks is the heart of this certification. Participants who can do these tasks, with a solid understanding of WLAN component functions and hardware protocols and radio frequency (RF) technologies, will be in good shape to earn the certification. This serves as the entry level requirement for all other certifications, including CWAP, CWSP, CWNE, and CWDP, which makes it essential that participants have no trouble with applying this information to larger, more advanced concepts and scenarios.
Training can be done with the Enterprise Wi-Fi Administration training class, in which all CWNA essentials will be taught. A practice exam and study guide can help to direct your studying. A test voucher, exam outline and registration details can be found on the CWNP website.
