Candidates who wish to obtain the Cisco IP Contact Center Express Specialist (CPCC) certification must pass 642-165 Unified Communications Contact Center Express Implementation exam. The certification is considered a Foundation skill level certification and is targeted towards professionals who can operate the Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, which was formerly known as the Cisco IPCC Express Edition.
Also, candidates for certification must have the skills necessary for designing and implementing Cisco Unified Contact Center Express v.8.0. As part of their design skills, professionals with this certification will be able to map technical features to business requirements, use capacity planning, understand reporting options, and have knowledge of configuration options. Professionals with this certification are also recognized as having the ability to operate a robust customer-response environment, call control elements, and application elements such as triggers, queuing, and intelligent call routing. During their daily tasks, a CPCC certified professional must be able to handle agent and supervisor tasks, as well as troubleshooting best practices, backup procedures, and system monitoring.
Each certification is valid for two years after the candidate has successfully passed the 642-165 exam. To gain a renewal of certification, candidates must pass the 642-165 exam again, or pass any CCDE or any CCIE Written Exam. Alternately, renewing any CCDE or CCIE certification will also renew the CPCC certification.
