CIW 1D0-510 : CIW Web Foundations Associate Exam
The CIW 1D0-510 Web Foundations Associate examination is necessary to receive the CIW Web Foundations Associate certification. It consists of 85 questions that must be completed in a 90 minute timeframe and will cover a plethora of information related to Internet business, web site design, and data networking. A score of 63% must be reached to successfully pass.
The CIW 1D0-510 exam is the final step in this certification program. To prepare for the exam, three courses must be taken: the Internet Business Associate course, Site Development Associate course, and Network Technology Associate course. All three provide the knowledge necessary to do well on the exam. Each course description can be found online, along with exam objectives, self-study materials, and other helpful information.
Students and professionals alike are welcome to register. Participants will be required to know and understand the foundations of three areas:
1. Network technology. Participants should be able to configure wireless connections, explain personal privacy protection concepts, and perform basic hardware/software maintenance. The identification of common servers, security/performance issues, and the role of networking hardware is required.
2. Internet business. Knowledge of required infrastructure, basic DNS principles, important database concepts, web search simulators, PIM, and effective communication is necessary. Participants should also be knowledgeable of the IT industry.
3. Site development. Participants must know how to create components of a web page, including basic HTML form, frames, and graphical formatting. Performance issues should be properly analyzed and management strategies/requirements should be correctly identified.
