The Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist certification validates skills affiliated with multi-service network solutions. With this certification, professionals will be able to acquire jobs that handle the design and integration of scalable networks using a plethora of technologies, including Cisco Call Manager, Quality of Service and signaling protocols. Solutions in such environments, as well as the integration of voice mail systems into existing network environments, are also core features of this program.
This program can only be entered once a CCDA or CCIE certification has been earned. It is essential that participants come prepared with pre-existing knowledge and experience using these products and working in design roles within networks. Although three training courses are highly beneficial in better grasping the material and putting it to use in practical situations, they are best taken when building upon the skills you have already acquired.
A training course is available for each exam. The three exams - Cisco Unified Communications Architecture and Design (642-415), Cisco Lifecycle Services for Advanced Unified Communications (650-251), and Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (642-642) - will test essential knowledge that will complete your understanding of telephony design.
