Cisco 642-642 : QOS (Quality of Service) Exam
The Cisco 642-642 QOS examination is one of the qualifying tests for those individuals who are seeking certification as a Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional, Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist, Cisco IP Telephony Express Specialist, Cisco IP Telephony Operations Specialist or Cisco IP Telephony Support Specialist. Given that the examination touches so many different certifications, the student can expect to be tested on knowledge acquired from the Implementing Cisco Quality of Service QOS V2.1 course. The duration of the test is set at 90 minutes and will cover 45 to 55 questions. Additionally, the test is offered in both English and Japanese.
Students that complete the Cisco 642-642 exam successfully should now have the skill set necessary to configure and troubleshoot Cisco IOS routers and run Quality of Service protocols in service provider and enterprise environments. The examination itself is designed to cover a plethora of topics on IP QOS, classification and marking mechanisms, queuing mechanisms, traffic shaping and policing mechanisms, congestion avoidance mechanisms, link efficiency mechanisms, modular QOS command line interface, and QOS best practices.
