Cisco 350-030 : CCIE Voice Exam
The Cisco 350-030 CCIE Voice written exam takes candidates through a two-hour process designed to certify knowledge of VoIP protocols and solutions using Cisco Enterprise. The exam is closedbook, and does not allow outside materials or references in the testing center. The exam has been updated and changed since the 2009 material to match the standards of all other Associate Professional and Specialist exams. Standardized exams will be scored on a scale between 300-1000 points, and require all questions to be answered in order and completely before moving on to the next question. All questions will be multiple choice, and require a professional-level knowledge of Cisco Enterprise VoIP.
The Cisco 350-030 CCIE Voice written exam covers 11 different sections starting with infrastructure protocols, telephony protocols, Cisco unified communications management, IOS IP telephony, QoS, unified messaging, UCCX, presence, UC security, application protocols, and operations and network management. Protocol topics covered include CNS, TFTP, NTP, power over Ethernet, voice and data VLAN, SCCP, MGCP, SIP, H323 and RAS, IP voice signal interconnect (CUBE), and IOS dial-peer and digit manipulations. Cisco topics include device registration, settings, redundancy, codec selection, CUCM applications, CUCM CTI integration, and media resources. Other topics include link efficiency, congestion management queuing, traffic policing and shaping, and call handlers. General questions will cover simulated problems and require an evaluation of possible solutions.
