CIPS A9 : International Logistics Exam
The CIPS A9 "International Logistics" test is a 151-question exam that is required for the Purchasing and Supply advanced certification. Knowledge of key terms and concepts under international transportation, packaging, payment, and warehousing will be included.
To study for the CIPS A9 test, it is highly suggested that participants purchase and thoroughly review the International Logistics textbook that accompanies it. The book is authored by CIPS and will cover the same concepts that are tested on the exam. Learning checks and practice questions are also included. Candidates may enroll in associated classes under the purchasing/supply umbrella.
Participants should come in to the exam with an understanding of module content and objectives. Specific exam topics will include:
1. International transport. Participants should be able to arrange and document international transportation, understand INCOTERMS, and identify the different modes of transportation and multi-modal logistics.
2. Packaging and Purchasing. Participants will be tested on the payment methods, currency variation, and differences of international purchasing. Packing and packaging methods should also be understood.
