The Certified SOA Consultant certification acknowledges a professional's skill in a variety of SOA topics. Professionals with this certification have knowledge in concepts and technical aspects related to service-oriented computing. Additionally, individuals with this certification have knowledge of the terms and theories needed to understand SOA and service-oriented computing. This includes overall SOA project delivery lifecycle, specific characteristics of individual project phases, delivery strategies, and governance issues.
The dynamics, requirements, and impact of applications are aspects that a Certified SOA Consultant incorporates into their daily job tasks. They must also be able to determine the impact of any planning, delivery, and design decision so that its impact may be assessed before the decision is implemented.
Five exams are required to earn the Certified SOA Consultant certification. All of the following must be passed: S90.01: Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing, S90.02: SOA Technology Concepts, S90.03: SOA Design & Architecture, S90.04: SOA Project Delivery & Methodology, and S90.05: SOA Technology Lab.
