The CCSPA (Check Point Certified Security Principles Associate) is an entry-level certification for candidates who have little previous security experience and are seeking to gain skills in security fundamentals and a basic understanding of security related best practices. As a CCSPA, you will gain an understanding of common security challenges, how to manage risk, recovery strategies, and how the threat of intrusions and attacks affect security. Your role as CCSPA will include implementing and monitoring your organization's security policies, offering security solutions as needed, and keeping tabs on network security threats.
To earn this CCSPA (Check Point Certified Security Principles Associate) certification certification, you are required to pass the 156-110 exam. This exam will give candidates the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the security triad, principles of secure design, the security life cycle, and the concepts and applications of administering security policies. On this exam, you will also explain system security architecture, methods for testing a business continuity plan, and how to identify possible threats to information assets. Additional related topics will also be a part of this exam.
To prepare for the 156-110 exam, Check Point is offering a 3-day Principles of Network Security course. Prior to beginning this certification, you should have experience with TCP/IP, Windows NT and/or UNIX, and basic networking fundamentals.
