The CCSE Plus (Check Point Certified Security Expert Plus) certification is an advanced credential for Systems Administrators, Security Managers, and Network Engineers who have previously earned their CCSE NGX certification. Obtaining this certification indicates that candidates have comprehensive expertise with Check Point VPN-1 NGX and have skills in high-availability, implementing complex configurations, network planning, route-based VPN, and troubleshooting tasks.
Candidates can prepare for the certification exam process by participating in the recommended training courses. Candidates can enroll in the Check Point Security Administration NGX I Rev 1.1, NGX II 1.1, and NGX III courses. The concepts in each of these courses build upon one another, culminating in the NGX III course.
To earn the CCSE Plus (Check Point Certified Security Expert Plus) certification certification, candidates will have to pass the 156-515 exam. This exam will assess the candidate's ability to use log commands to observe and manipulate log files, snoop, tcpdump, and fw monitor. Candidates should also be able to perform kernal debugging using the fw ctl debug command, identify different stages in the folding process, and perform various tasks using VPN. Troubleshooting principles will also be covered on this exam. Candidates will be responsible for additional related content that will appear on this exam.
