The CCNA Wireless (Cisco Certified Network Associate - Wireless) certification is bestowed upon candidates who have the knowledge needed to configure wireless LAN networks which use Cisco equipment. Additionally, a CCNA Wireless certified professional is able to implement and support wireless LANs.
It is also expected that a CCNA Wireless professional will be able to support a basic wireless network on a Cisco WLAN in a SMB to enterprise network. The tasks of configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco WLAN in SMB and Enterprise networks are examples of additional tasks required by a CCNA Wireless professional.
To gain the CCNA Wireless (Cisco Certified Network Associate - Wireless) certification, candidates must pass the Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials exam. Prior to taking the exam, the candidate must have either a current CCNA or a current CCIE certification.
Each CCNA Wireless (Cisco Certified Network Associate - Wireless) certification lasts for three years. Candidates can renew their certification by passing any CCNA concentration exam, or by gaining a higher level of certification, such as professional or specialist certifications.
