The CCMSE Plus (Check Point Certified Managed Security Expert Plus) certification is an advanced level credential intended for security professionals who are seeking to officially validate their experience and skills in deploying VSX as an enterprise security solution. Candidates must have already earned their CCMSE NGX certification as a prerequisite.
Passing the 156-816 exam is required in order to earn the CCMSE Plus (Check Point Certified Managed Security Expert Plus) certification. This exam will test one's ability to perform various installation and configuration tasks involving VSX. Candidates are also expected to understand how to compare and contrast VSX deployments using vlan capable interfaces; compare and contrast functions of virtual systems deployed in bridge mode; and perform designing networks using VSX. Other related topics will also be featured on this exam.
As part of this certification program, Check Point is offering the Security Administration NGX I Rev 1.1, NGX II Rev 1.1, Provider-1 NGX, and VPN-1 VSX NGX courses. Although candidates who have a current CCMSE NGX certification will likely have already taken the first three courses listed, it is highly recommended that content from these courses be reviewed along with taking with the VPN-1 VSX NGX course. Completing these recommended courses will give candidates the best chance to pass the exam and earn this advanced certification.
