If you have a current CCSE NGX certification, then you are eligible to complete the requirements for the CCMSE (Check Point Certified Managed Security Expert) certification. The CCSMSE NGX is an advanced certification that is designed to increase your skills in managing multiple Check Point VPN-1 implementations using the Provider-1 Internet security solution. After completing this certification, you will have proficiency in implementing a variety of VPN-1 enterprise security solutions and in the deployment of Provider-1 as a policy management solution in a Network Operations Center setting.
As a requirement to obtain the CCMSE (Check Point Certified Managed Security Expert) certification, you must pass the 156-815 exam, which involves using case studies to perform various tasks such as creating, installing, and initiating security related objectives. Candidates will be asked to install MDS Manager and MDS container and configure MDS Manager as a Primary MDS, install the MDG, and configure the NOC firewall's Security Policy. This exam also covers implementing a Global Policy and creating a Global Services and Global VPN.
These are only intended as general objective guidelines for these exam as each test will contain more in-depth content. There are three courses associated with this certification that provide a progression of knowledge that will involve training and preparation for the exam requirements. The Check Point Security Administration NGX I Rev 1.1, NGX II Rev 1.1, and the Check Point Provider-1 NGX courses are recommended to obtain the skills and knowledge needed to pass the exams.
